One month without smoking a cigar.
I haven’t smoked an analogue cigar for over 30 days. I have, however, been sucking on an e-cig instead which is much tastier, (farrrr) less smelly and a whole lot cheaper.
For those that don’t know, this is an ecig

They work by atomizing a liquid made of PG (Propylene Glycerol), nicotine and flavor on a heated element that is activated by sucking on the end of the filter. The atomized liquid looks and feels just like the smoke from a real cigarette and it’s the reason I haven’t needed to stuff a cancer stick in my mouth every half hour for the past month.

I ordered one because I wanted to be able to smoke inside whilst working, they’re not illegal like the smokey cigs because they don’t use any combustible material or produce any tar or ‘real’ smoke toxins. I was pretty impressed by their performance and with some cherry flavor e-liquid, they taste really nice! So nice in fact that I can’t stomach the smell and taste of a ‘real’ cigarette!
I am going to keep you updated via this blog, I will be testing various products and juices - and of course the reaction of people when they realise what I am using and how it works.

Performance
The reason these devices are so impressive is because of the way they work and look, Before I decided on the model of eCig to purchase I did a lot of research via fora and reviews, there are so many different models available it can seem like a minefield at first.
Each model has a different strength or weakness. As a cigar smoker I was particuarly keen on finding a device that generated plenty of vapour and had a 'Throat Hit', Also I was keen to have a device that looked good as I would be using it in public.
Also I wanted one that was cheap to run, I will of course be posting my findings as I go.
Here's a pic of the device in use...

Parts
As shown in the first post the electronic cigarette is made up of parts - it is 'Modular' which means you can replace these parts as and when required.
The model I have is made up of:
Battery
Atomiser (Atty)
Liquid cart (cart)
There is a charger also for the battery.
There are Two types of batteries as you can see in the image below - the one with the button is a manual one and the one without is the automatic version. With the manual when you want to take a puff you push the button which heats up the atty in order to vaporise the liquid and give you a lung full of warn and very nice tasting vapour.
I prefer this type as you have more control over the amount of vapour.
With the automatic version all you need to do is take a puff and a sensor in the battery will sense this and heat the atty on demand, this is a plus to this type as well as a minus.
The Plus is that you can use this 'Hands Free' which is great when you are typing as I am now, or you need your hands/fingers for other tasks.
The Minus is that you have to take a small 'Primer' puff to start the heating of the element before taking the proper puff - you will get used to this very quickly, in-fact I think I mastered every aspect within a few hours.

Juices
Juices are available in at least 30 flavours and 6 strengths of Nicotine content - you can even have a Zero Nicotine content should you wish.
Refilling your carts is undoubtedly the way to go, you can buy ready made liquids of the flavour and strength required in 10ml and 30 ml bottles - these seem to be the most popular sizes that I have seen.
Some are really tasty, my favourite at this moment is Strawberry although I did recently have a batch from a different supplier that was not very good - once you find a supplier that you like it's best to stick with them for as long as they can supply your favourite juice.
Of course you will need to try as many as you can before settling otherwise how would you know which was best - I certainly could not tell you as we all have different tastes.
There is NO WAY I would ever select a Tobacco flavour, this is a surprise as I didn't think the fruit flavours would work but they most certainly do, how nice it is to be left with a nice taste in my mouth after 'Vaping'.
The 'Holy Grail' in my opinion is to 'mix your own' juices, you need a kit for this which comprises:

30 Day Update
It has been 30 days now since I started using the Electronic Cigarette, I have not smoked an analog cigar since day one - why on earth would I ?
This is great, I love this device so much I am looking into sourcing this particular product and opening up a shop to compete with other retailers - I have hit a snag though, unfortunately there is only One person who can supply the make and model of electronic cigarette that I want to sell, they have an exclusive agreement with the manufacturers which is a problem as there is no competition and I can only get a small % for buying in bulk.
Like everything I do I would want to offer a very good deal to my customers so I have teamed up with a top company in order to bring you a 7.5% discount on your purchases.
To find out more either progress through this blog or go straight to the page HERE.
So, after 30 days:
