Who Removed You From Their Facebook Friends List?

Facebook is great - we all love it and as a result it is growing like mad but you are never notified when somebody 'De-Friends' you.. that's to say that they have removed you from their Friends List.

This happens to the best of us and when you notice a drop in your friends list total it's unsurprising that you may want to find out who has just 'Dropped' you from their list.

Facebook, under their TOS (Terms of Service) do not give you this personal information but there is a way and I am about to show you.

This is not something that will get your account deleted as they have no idea if you are using this technique or not - it is not in any way connected with the actual Facebook system but is a clever script which is used by your Browser on your local machine.

 
Here's the notification you will get once you have followed my instructions carefully:

Here you can see who just removed you from their Friends List, there is also a link to their profile too.

All links on this page open in a New Window so no need to worry - you WILL NOT lose this page.

Here's What to Do:

I am assuming that you are using Firefox as your browser, it is claimed that this system WILL work with other Browsers but Firefox is the safest and best so this may provide you with an excuse to join us in using this outstanding browser and get rid of Internet Explorer (But Don't Un-install IE as you still need that for certain things).

Get the Greasemonkey Firefox Add-On from HERE - It looks like this:

Simply click 'Add to Firefox' and the installation will commence.

You will see a Warning Screen Next, This Script is fine and dandy and it contains no Nasties otherwise I would not be writing this article about it.

Click <Install Now>

Then Restart your Browser.

Don't worry as all of the Windows you currently have open will be re-instated when the browser restarts.

You have just installed the GreaseMonkey add-on for Firefox.

Next:

Head over to the Facebook Friends Checker and click on Install as below:

Of course, next you will see a 'Pop-Up' window.

Click <Install> again:

So-far So-Good and well done for getting this far.

Almost there, just a tweak which is not even essential but I am guessing that you (Like Me) like to see results sooner rather than later?

So, next we need to tell the script how often to check for Friends List Changes.

By Default it is set to check every 2 hours but I like to set this to 1 hour.

LOG INTO FACEBOOK:

Now you are back in your personal Facebook account:

Click on: 'Tools' (In your Browser - at the top) | Then Click: 'Greasemonkey' | Then Click: 'User Script Commands' and 'Set Time Interval' as below:

 Change Time Interval to suit:

Testing:

So, now for the 'Litmus Test'.

Get somebody to remove you from their friends list - I used somebody very close to me for this:

I would not reccommend deleting people 'Willy Nilly' as it does cause some concern for the people you are removing (Hence The Reason For This Script) - use a relative or another understanding contact.

So, now the test is complete - I had to wait One Hour.

When I elected to view My Profile  I was greeted with the Prize as below:

So, there you have it - You can now be notified when somebody has removed you from their Friends List.
