Quit Smoking Banner

Recently given up smoking or are planning on doing so in the near future?

Ever wondered how people get banners that update each and every hour to show their current 'Quit' stats?

Do you use a forum or have a website where you would like to display your banner to show the World how you are doing with your Stopping Smoking Campaign?

If you answered YES to any of the above then you are looking for a banner like this, and get this - this is the UK version (Unlike all the other USA versions) out there.

Heres what you need to do:

Enter your email (which IS optional) if you want to be informed of any updates.

Enter the date of your first day of giving up smoking - you can enter a past or a future date, the script will display your stats accordingly.

How many cigarettes/cigars a day you smoke/smoked.

Enter the amount you were spending or spend on tobacco.

Select an icon for your banner (This is the image that appears left most in your finished banner).
This script has nicer icons than any other script of it's type.

Click 'Create Banner'.

You will be taken to the next screen where you will have 2 options.

BBcode - this is the code to use in forum signature blocks.

Example for vBulletin Forum (Most Common):

Log in as usual | (In the Top Menu Bar) click USER CP | (Under 'Settings & Options) select 'Edit Signature'.

Here you will see an editor open: (a box for you to enter code)

Now, go to the screen where their BBcode script is displayed - Select all of the text in the 'BBcode' box:

It will look like this:

Copy this to your clipboard (Select all of that text, right click and select 'Copy')

Go back the forum signature edit window as detailed above, Click inside that text window so you can see a cursor flashing there and (Right Click  & Select 'Paste').

Now you should see the code appear in that text box - select 'Save Signature' or 'Preview Signature' (if you want to test before saving).

Done - test this by viewing one of your previous forum posts.

The code in the HTML box is for inserting your banner into your website, I will assume you will know how to do this as you already have your own website.

That's it, the image lives on our server where it will be updated by the hour - you need do nothing else.

Now you and everybody else can see:

Amount of Hours/ Days you have been smoke free for (If you have already given up, this will be different if you are approaching your start date).

Amount of money saved in £ so-far.

Amount of Cigarettes/Cigars avoided so-far.
